Hear my prayer」はソプラノのソロで出来が 決まってしまうのだが Rachel Bennett のボーイのような美しい歌声がとても良い。 同じ指揮者、同じ団体の "CONIFER CLASSICS" レーベルの旧録音を持っているのだが、 今回の方が落ち着いていて僕は好きだ。「09. Beati mortui」は、唯一の男声合唱。 どこかの男声合唱団の演奏で聴いたことがあるような気がする。モノフォニック でオーソドックスな小品なのだが、心を打つ展開の曲である。「17. Magnificat」 は全編歌詞が英語で、とても綺麗で軽快な素敵な曲だ。「18. Warum toben die Heiden」 はどこかで聴いたことがあると思ったら、去年の合唱音楽ワークショップで歌って いた曲だった。 全体的に言えることで、当たり前のことなのだが、やはり英語の歌詞の曲の方 が音楽の流れがスムーズだと思った。どうもやっぱり、イギリスの団体のドイツ語 の歌は子音のニュアンスの違いからか、本来ドイツ語が持っている美しい響きや リズムに対し、物足りなさを感じた。 (2007.7.29 記) |

Love (John Lennon) ☆ひとこと感想☆ 鈴木重子さんの新譜。バックが、ストリングス、パーカッション、ギター、 ピアノ、ハーモニカ、コーラスの編成なのが憎い。良いヴォーカリストには 必要以上の音はいらないのだ。 去年のアルバムに引き続き、今年もカヴァー曲の選曲のセンスが光る。試聴コーナーで聴いた 「01. Your Song」に、いきなり心を射抜かれた。「02. Every Breath You Take」 は題名だけではピンと来なかったのだが、聴き覚えのある曲である。よく聴くと、 『見つめていたい』の邦題で日本でもヒットしたスティングの名曲だった。 後半の「07. Shape Of My Heart」にもスティングの曲（映画『レオン』のエンディング曲）を 持って来るとは、スティングファンにはたまらない。キャロル・キングの 「08. So Far Away」は、ＣＦで聴き覚えのある曲のだろうか？なぜか懐かしさ を感じる。終曲をアルバム名でもあるジョン・レノンの珠玉の名曲「10. Love」 で締めるあたり、またまた憎い。 鈴木重子さんの手にかかると、過去の数々の名曲の全く違う側面が違った 良さを出しながら耳に届く。彼女は、いつまでもカヴァーを中心に活躍して ほしいアーチストの一人だ。 (2007.7.20 記) |
